Description:
This Winchester 1895 in 30 06 is without a doubt one of the most accurate rifles I have ever owned. It has accompanied me on several succesfull elk hunts. It was made at the factory in 1925, and is a take down. A rare Lyman No. 25 rear sight is installed on the rifle, and it is in excellent condition. I purchased the rifle 27 years ago. The blueing on the barrel is thinning to a grayish blue that can be seen in the attached photos. The action works as new; the receiver has approximately 60% of its original blue. A full ("California") buckhorn sight is placed on the barrel. The bore is rated at very good, and there are no dark spots seen. The wood is in good+ condition, and there are no cracks. A true piece of history in the rare caliber of 30-06. Shipping is $40.00. I take certified funds only....no credit cards.
