This is an extremely well-kept and very lightly-used Ruger Model P89 Stainless pistol in 9mm Luger made in the first year of production, 1992. This P89 comes with two 15-round factory magazines and a factory magazine loading tool. First introduced in 1992 the Ruger P89 Stainless or KP89 was an improved version of their earlier P85 Model. The P89 Stainless proved to be an excellent pistol for the Ruger firm and remained in production for 17 years until 2009. The Ruger P89 Stainless is a semi-automatic DA/SA pistol that features a low-maintenance and durable stainless steel and alloy construction, a 4.5" inch barrel, an ambidextrous safety/decocking lever, an exposed hammer, ribbed black composite grip inserts, and a 15 round double-stack magazine. While the Ruger P89 Stainless is a large pistol in size and weight, it is extremely reliable, accurate, and well-made. The P89 Stainless is soft-shooting and an excellent pistol to take to the range in addition to being a great self/home defense weapon due to their superb reliability. This particular example is in excellent condition inside and out. The stainless steel is bright and clean rating 98%, showing only some very minor handling/storage marks. The gunmetal gray alloy frame is in excellent condition as well, with the alloy finish rating 99% with only one tiny little bright spot visible on the right forward part of the frame (pictured). The bore in this Ruger is bright and pristine, in perfect condition with no visible wear to the rifling or imperfections. The grip panels on this pistol are like-new, free from any visible wear or damage of any kind. Both grip panels are perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the frame with no wiggle. Both grip screws are in perfect shape with perfect un-marred slots. The action on this Ruger is slick and smooth, and the barrel lock-up is excellent. All of the controls on this P89 are crisp and in like-new, perfect working order. The internals of this P89 are just as clean and free from wear as the exterior. If this Ruger has had more than a magazine or two fired thru it since leaving the factory we would be very surprised. This P89 Stainless comes with a total of 2 15-round factory magazines with it and a factory loading tool, all of which are in excellent condition. If you have been looking for an exceptional Ruger P89 Stainless 9mm pistol for your collection this 1st year production example would be a superb choice.
