Caliber is approximately .44. Bore is good with strong rifling. This is a five shot revolver with a sliding safety-lock. The action works perfectly on double and single action. Top strap is marked ""Robert Adams, 76 King WIlliams St. London"". Barrel has the proper black powder proofs. Grips are good overall. Metal has a smooth patina. As with various British made revolvers of the Civil War period both the North and South used British revolvers. General ""Stonewall Jackson"" carried and Adams revoler.
