Description:
***SOLD*** US Springfield Armory Model 1903 .30-06 Springfield bolt action US military service rifle, manufactured in 1923, according to the barrel stamp and serial number. This rifle features the classic and iconic 1903 design and profile, with a strong and reliable Mauser-type action, as well as a walnut stock and handguard, with a parkerized finish on the metal components, as well as a fully adjustable rear sight and removable hood on the front sight. The rifle is in especially good condition for being nearly 100 years old, with a superb stock, excellent finish and a nice bore/action mechanism. No visible rust is present, only areas of patina in the finish. The rifle has some small dings in the stock and small scuffs likely from storage, and a very small hairline crack can be seen near the wrist by the receiver, however we do not believe this to be serious structural damage. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase. This is an especially nice example of a Springfield Armory 1903 rifle, and it would make a very nice addition to any collection! C&R OK.
