Description:
A hard to find 45 acp Carbine serial # 00008. Detachable rear stock, 16 7/8 Barrel, 3 system safety with combination lock, grip and lever. Combination has never been set. Open bolt blow back design. Rifling is crisp and bright. Bolt buffer has been installed by 1 of the origonal engineers from FOXCO. Comes with a pair of M-3, 30 round magazines.
Foxco was started in the early 70's here in Meridan Connecticut. Origonally the gun was submitted to the military as a replacement for the M-16 which never got off the ground. Unfortunately a mysterious fire destroyed the factory in 1976. Parts although rare are still available in both the 45 and 9mm design.
