Description:
On Hold Sale Pending. US Model 1816 Harpers Ferry flintlock dated 1825 and converted to percussion probably by Hewes and Phillips in the 1850's. The full length 3 band walnut stock has cracks at the wrist, also on the flats opposite the lock and in front of the lock and flat, (see photos) they apparently have been repair as the stock seems quite solid. There are unit markings of K 16 under the top band. The full length barrel has a rear site that was probably installed at the time of conversion as well as a bayonet lug near the muzzle. The tip of the Nipple is broke off. The front sight is on top of the upper barrel band. All metal parts have a brown patina. Shipping will be actual cost approximately $50.00 by priority mail.
