Browning's A-5, or "Auto-5", is a semi-automatic shotgun design that was patented in 1900 and, despite the dramatic increases in technology throughout the 20th century, remained in constant production for 98 years. The duration of production and consistent demand for this shotgun show how far ahead of its time this design truly was. The A-5 was the first semi-automatic shotgun to see mass production and saw action in the First and Second World Wars, the Vietnam War and additional conflicts. In addition, the British Empire, Japan, Italy and many more called upon the A5 for their own military use, as it seemed none could deny the A-5's success. Made in Japan, this 12. ga features well-crafted scrolled designs in the finish surrounding both sides of the chamber to cap-off a historic shotgun that will never be forgotten.
