Description:
This Enfield No. 4 Mk1 Bolt Action battle rifle in .303 British is in good condition, considering its age. The No. 4 was discontinued in 1957. The blued barrel and receiver are in good condition with the blue fading in all spots. The blued 25" barrel is in very good condition with sharp clear rifling in its bore. The factory curved trigger is still firm and crisp on release. The smooth dark walnut stock is in good condition with dents and dings from use and handling during war time, but much less than would be expected. The brass curved butt plate is good with a trap door that still opens and closes. The No. 4 could use a very good cleaning to operate back to near issue condition. This Enfield No. 4 Mk1 was part of a cache that was found in Ethiopia in a cave after many years. This Enfield rifle comes with a magazine and a cardboard box. .303 British
