Description:
This Enfield No. 4 Mk.1 bolt action battle rifle in .303 British is in good condition, especially for its age. The Enfield No. 4 was discontinued and replaced in 1957. The blued barrel and receiver are in good condition, with the blue fading in several areas. The blued 25" barrel is very good, with sharp clear rifling in its bore. The curved factory trigger is still firm and crisp on release. The smooth dark walnut stock is good with the normal dents and dings from WWII use and handling, plus other nations that used them after being discontinued. The brass semi curved butt plate is good, with a trap door that opens and closes. This Enfield No. 4 was part of the cache found in a cave in Ethiopia. A good complete cleaning would be a good idea for this Enfield rifle. This Enfield rifle comes with a 10 round magazine and a cardboard box. .303 British
