First introduced in 1950, Smith & Wesson's Model 36 .38 Special was created to be the best suited handgun for American law enforcement. Once issued, it didn't take long for this revolver to fulfill its destiny, as it quickly became one of the more common carries amongst badge holders. The Model 36 is one of a series of J-frame revolvers Smith & Wesson designed in the era. The finish has been well maintained, and the wood-grip bears Smith & Wesson medallions on each side. The revolver comes with its box which contains the owner's manual and cleaning tools.
