Description:
This Enfield No. 4 Mk. 1 bolt action battle rifle in .303 British is in good condition, considering its age and circumstances. The Enfield No. 4 rifle was discontinued in 1957. The blued barrel and receiver are in good condition, with the blue fading in several areas. The blued 25" barrel is fair to good with sharp clear rifling in its bore, but looks a little gritty. This Enfield No. 4 needs a complete cleaning. The factory curved trigger is firm and crisp on release. The smooth dark walnut stock is good with the various dents and dings from use in WWII and other nations that bought these from England after being discontinued. The brass butt plate is good with a trap door that opens and closes. This Enfield No. 4 rifle was part of the cache found after many years in a cave in Ethiopia. This Enfield No. 4 rifle comes with a 10 round magazine and a cardboard box. .303 British
