Description:
EXTREMELY RARE Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver with Crowned Muzzle. Serial No. 331856. Manufactured in 1873. There were only 400 of these made and maybe 50 survive. All were 4'' 5 shot. 92% of factory high polish blue on the barrel. Cylinder retains maybe 50% blue. Frame, hammer, and loading lever have most casecolors. Slightly fading. Just traces of silver on backstrap and trigger guard. Silver never lasted on these late guns. Cylinder scene is 99% present. All numbers match. Wedge and loading lever are void of numbers as is correct on this late-late guns. Action is fine. Bore has some light pitting. Very good rifling. For the most advanced 1849 collector. The last variation of the FAMOUS 1849 COLT REVOLVER. There is one other offered on the internet in Texas for $12500. Check it out and compare.
