.44-77, #2048, 28 inch barrel, blue and case color finish, walnut stock and forearm, Rocky Mountain front sight, barrel sight is more contemporary folding sight with a stylized "A" marking, Barrel marked "PATENT MAY.26.74" and "PHOENIX. CAL 44", manufactured by Whitney 1860'S TO 1881, usually found in very rough condition unlike this one.
Condition: very good bore, 70% barrel blue, 80% case colors on receiver turned silver, wood has 50% original varnish with use marks, tinny chip on left side of forearm next to forearm cap, crack in forearm cap, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
