Description:
Colt 1849 4" 5 shot pocket that Sam produced in 1858. Not one to waste any parts, this revolver has a London Barrel , some London style screws , and the London style Wasp shaped grips. Serial No.143522. Definitely American serial range 1858. This is a fairly rare variation of the Colt Pocket that utilized parts shipped from London when the factory closed in 1857. In Bob Jordan's book on page 146 he says he knows of 5 right in this serial range. This would be the sixth. Revolver has a fair amout of original blue and casecolors present. Cylinder scene is excellent . Action is great. Strong rifling and bore. Grips retain most original varish. Backstrap and trigger guard have alot of silver which has flaked some .
