Description:
This is NOT collector shape this is for hunting and shooting! Comes with new extra remington factory clip that i took out of the package. I bought it for it and it definitely needs broken in. The gun functions and fires excellent, but has been abused on the barrel and forearm wood. The refinishing job was done pretty good but you can plainly see wood putty and glue under the refinish. The repair on the forestock is the most extensive. It looks like they either repaired a bad crack or it broke off altogether as the line extends front to back, but feels solid when handling, pumping and firing. The buttstock has some wood putty marks to which looks to be gouge fill marks, but i do not see any cracks or crack repairs on the buttstock. The rifling and bore look very good with plenty of shine, but the barrel on the outside has many bad gouges/dents with one on the left side of the reciever also. Probably someones truck gun at one time. The marks on the barrel do not intrude into the inside of the barrel that i can see and as stated shoots excellent. Blueing is suprisingly good still with no rust or pitting seen. Buttplate looks great. One of the greatest class II game cartridges ever made and seldom seen in anything but bolt actions. Dont let this one pass you by as hunter grades dont usually come along in this caliber or model at this price and the bumps and bruises (no extra charge, lol) are already there so no worries on taking it out on a hunt! Comes with the tasco golden antler scope that was on it when i got it with nice clear optics and great finish still. Can ship to FFL via usps with insurance for extra fee.
