CIVIL WAR ERA MERWIN & BRAY .32 RF CAL. SINGLE SHOT DERINGER. Early cartridge derringer patented in 1858 and popular as a Civil War private purchase side arm. 3 ½” octagon barrel with top stamped “MERWIN & BRAY/NEW YORK”. Side swing barrel, spur trigger and brass frame. 100% original with the original factory rosewood grips. Fine overall with the original finish nicely patinated. Fine working order. Scarce with only a few thousand made.
