Description:
Serial #2585, .30 WCF, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1925-made rifle that has retained 85-90% of the original blue finish with silvering and fading along the front and top of the receiver where the blue has worn from carry. The breech-end of the barrel has also silvered where it meets the receiver. The top tang has a vacant screw hole where a tang sight used to mounted, as well as a damaged screw head at the rear. The walnut forend and buttstock are in fine shape with only some scattered minor handling marks in the original varnish finish. The grooved metal buttplate retains some traces of original blue with the balance turned to freckled gray. The barrel is very firmly attached. This is a very nice Northeastern woods rifle that is in about very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
