Civil War US Gallager Cavalry Carbine #13187. The Gallager carbine with more than 23,000 were manufactured, saw extensive service as a cavalry arm with Union troops. Both percussion and metallic cartridge versions of the Gallagher carbine were manufactured, but extraction problems with both cartridge types made this arm somewhat unpopular with the troops that used it. This example was a barn find and untouched and dry to surface with no oil or finish allied to stock or metal . Just a untouched looking carbine with a great look
