Description:
Following the 1972 Munich Massacre West German police forces saw fit to update the standard equipment their officers carried, this included replacing the aging Walther PP .32 ACP handguns with a more modern sidearm. Three arms manufactures were contracted to produce suitable replacements. Heckler & Koch made the P7, SIG made the P6 and Walther made the P5. Of the three the P5 was the least popular, likely due to its high price at the time, only being adopted in Germany by the state police forces of Baden-Wurttemburg and Rhineland-Palatinate. This pistol was developed from the famous Walther P38 and P1 series of pistol. 9mm Luger
