With the marking on the receiver still intact, if one could find the appropriate parts they could reverse what has been done and restore this rifle to its original military condition. Alternatively it could serve as a stock of spare parts for another Type 38 Arisaka. None

Metal Condition: "Fair-Good, many parts and fittings are missing or modified but what remains is still in good shape. Generally free of corrosion and pitting, some of the original bluing remains.
Wood Condition: "Fair, the forestock has bee cut down and the whole stock has bee heavily sanded and refinished. The stock is covered in varying degrees of handling marks and other similar damage. There is a crack in the top of the stock about 5.5-3"" long
Bore Condition: "Fair-Good, the bore is dark and frosted with a fine layer of rust, some deeper damage may be present. the rifling is still prominent and shootable.
