Investment Grade M1860 Civil War Spencer Saddle Ring Carbine, Serial Number 49936. Inspector marks stamped on lever, receiver, and barrel, VERY faint remnants of cartouche visible behind the saddle ring plate. Condition is very good, all original, clear lettering with Boston barrel address that fades on the third line (as you can see in the photo). Bluing has faded to a nice dark color on the barrel, the barrel and receiver have a very nice patina that makes this Civil War Spencer very attractive. The wood is original finish with normal handling wear for a weapon carried through the Civil War, a period handguard repair, please see the photos. Normal surface oxidation, no rust or pitting. Mechanically functions sharp and crisp. This is a collection-worthy original Civil War Spencer Carbine in very good condition.
