SMITH-CORONA Model 1903A3 .30-06 Military Rifle WWII 1944 Issue - Rifle like new, perfect bore, Bore is shiny all the way through with great riflings and no imperfections. No perceptable bore wear. Rifling full and shows .005 muzzle wear on the gauge. Near 100% of finish remaining on the metal. Receiver mounted GI adjustable rear sight. In great comdition with light handling rub on the left left rear stock face. Rest of stock is like new. P in partial circle on inside of handgrip.
Excellent example of an all-original World War 2 1903A3 rifle issued by the Smith Corona company in 1944. The Smith Corona made '03A3's are much more scarce than the Remington produced rifles, with Smith Corona making a total of 234,580 rifles versus Remington's total production of 707,629 rifles. The correct mixture of blued and parkerized finishes on the various parts of the rifle are all very attractive with nearly zero wear or finish loss.
