Description:
EARLY "H.H. HEISER" HOLSTER.  This holster  takes a 4 3/4, 5 1/2, or 6, or shorter revolver. This is a single loop style holster.  A  H. H. Heiser model #406 Right Side Holster in very good condition.  No loose stitching, light scratches, and a nice even rich patina. Here I show Colt Model 1898, 6 inch barreled and a model 1873 Colt Single Action revolver both fit perfectly.   It would also fit a S&W New Model 3, S.A. and probably many others as well.  A unique addition suitable for the finest collection. As pointed out in the "Packing Iron Book" on page 183 this holster features the narrow "quick draw belt loop that avoids interference of the holster in the grasping of the revolver grip......" Other features include more hammer exposure and a sewn on and riveted loop. The sewn on loop is a very rare feature on Heiser Holsters.
The Hermann H. Heiser Manufacturing Co. made this beautiful holster from Premium Skirting Leather. This holster is properly marked with the H. H. Heiser Denver Colo. Trademark in an Oval makers mark, which dates this holster from 1910. You will note it has no safety strap as many Heiser holsters have, giving it the feel and appearance of an early frontier holster.
The leather is fully alive and will provide a century of wear ready to use. My revolvers are not included.
