Description:
Winchester 1873 Deluxe lever action rifle, chambered in the most popular .44-40 caliber, 24” octagon barrel. This is a spectacular example of a completely original 73 Deluxe 2ndmodel in very fine condition. Made in 1880 making it 138 years old this rifle retains nearly all of its original colors, 93% of the barrel blue and 95% wood finishes. XXX wood numbered 705 (see frame picture and stock picture). 1873’s were the rifle that won the West and this is just about as good of an example as it gets. This beautiful rifle shows only handling marks as if it were just a few years old, let alone well over 100 years old. Factory “search” confirms it to be authentic and the finishes speak for themselves.
