Description:
On Hold I purchased this musket on a online they called it a "French pattern 1777 flintlock musket" approximately 70 caliber.  Since receiving it I see what appears to be a date of 1821 (the one is hard to see).  The good dark full length 3 band stock has the typical French circle cartouche with I think an MR in the middle and stamped St. Enienne on the but stock. The lock markings are faint but appears to be Maubeuge.  The lock functions fine.  The 39" barrel and all metal parts have a brown patina and is rifled. The pan appears to be brass.  The front sight and bayonet lug are in place.  I assume it is the model 1777, I'm not sure if they made a model 1816 or a 1822 since the barrel date appears to be 1821  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  On Hold Sale Pending
