Description:
I was fortunate having the opportunity to purchase this very fine firearm from CMP by lottery but it turns out to be similar to one already in my collection. It was not purchased to “flip”. If one were to look superficially at this pistol you would believe it to be a Colt 1911A1 because the slide is Colt, the stocks are accurate Coltwood type 7 with the large ring around the screws, the barrel is marked “Colt 45 Auto” and the finish is impeccably perfect parkerized with blue over sandblast for the small parts- very accurate. However, looking deeper with examination of the serial number one finds the receiver is Remington Rand 1945. The interior parts are mostly Remington. The barrel marking is modern Colt, looks fairly new with bright strong lands. Judging from the two tone tip of the Colt slide I place the Colt slide at about 1938. The two tone resulted from a hardening/strengthening of metal process- a good thing. The mag is a very high quality Italian made modern mag. The CMP gun case is a work of art in itself. See photos. The pistol will come with everything in the case sans my name. So, what you will be purchasing is a 1911A1 which all of your friends will believe is a beautiful Colt but you will know better. I’m pricing this pistol at a price considering my work and effort submitting necessary stuff to CMP, waiting over a year for success, getting it through state hoops, my purchase price, transfer costs and angst dealing with all of this stuff.

LAYAWAY: If needed I offer a 60 lay?a?way option. It is 1/3 immediately, 1/3 in 30 days and 1/3 in 60 days. Lay?a?way Firearm sales are final. If you fail to close the deal I will hold funds until the firearm is sold. If the firearm is sold for less, the difference will be deducted from the deposit plus 10% for my time, storage and taking the firearm off the market for your lay-a-way period.
SHIPPING: All firearms shipped Priority Mail with tracking. Shipping will be calculated to point of delivery.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT? Modern firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in Buyer’s area. Buyer must supply to Seller a copy of Buyer’s driver license and a copy of Buyer’s local FFL dealer’s license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms. All handguns are shipped to an FFL.
SAFETY NOTICE? Buyer is solely responsible for determining that the firearm purchased is safe to shoot. By , the buyer agrees to hold seller harmless against damages, injury, or death caused by buyer’s failure to have the firearm properly inspected for safety.
RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day return policy conditioned upon the firearm being kept by the FFL during inspection period and returned in exactly the condition mailed- not being fired, messed with in any way. If you take the firearm from the FFL or fire it it’s yours. In the case of a return, buyer pays all shipping charges. YOU HAVE A 3 DAY INSPECTION PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF DELIVERY TO FFL OR C&R DEALER. SELLER WILL NOT REFUND SHIPPING COSTS AND THERE IS A 10% RESTOCKING FEE DEDUCTED FROM REFUND. YOURIS A BINDING CONTRACT, AND THIS CONTRACT INCLUDES YOU AGREEING TO ALL OF THE ABOVE, THE RESTOCKING FEE AND NO REFUNDS FOR SHIPPING.
