Outstanding condition Winchester 70 in doubly rare 22 Hornet caliber AND transition configuration! S/N 77*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1947.
Excellent 98% condition throughout. 24" Barrel. Mechanics and bore are excellent. Insides are perfect with no bedding, routing, nor cracks, just accidentally erased my chip from the previously taken pics!. I have also personally verified that the chamber has not been altered to K hornet nor any other caliber. Rear sight is a factory installed Lyman 48 WJS (all matching component #s) with filler in barrel sight dovetail. Has the unique pre war type clover leaf tang and the "clam shell" aka "rabbit's foot" safety used only during this short production period. A beautiful and very hard to come by rifle in this shape.
