SOLD A good working Allen of Worcester about .30 cal Pepperbox with a 4" long barrel that works well, Super strong mainspring and all the nipples there except for one that is broken . The exterior metal is whits and may have been cleaned long ago, with hand chisel engraved scroll designs and clear markings on the barrel . Areas of small/fine pits from blsckpowder use, a true one of the first American double action revolvers made in the 1830's and found it's way to the war with Mexico and the California Gold fields. Has solid , clean American walnut grips, and the barrel rib stamped : PATENTED 1837 CAST STEEL. A good excample of an early frontier/western early revolver used right uo through the Civil War and beyond. Muzzle ports measure about .315" inside diameter.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
