Unfired Sako 243 2d owner with provenance. This is probably a one in a lifetime chance to purchase an unfired Sako Classic L579. I purchased this rifle from a USAF Master Sergeant while stationed at Ft Leavenworth, KS in 1978. He had purchased the rifle at the Ramstine AFB to go on a Roe deer hunt that never happened. He gave me the original hang tag and US Army Europe Provost Marshall registration. The rifle was manufactured by Sako on October 17,1961 which makes it one of the earliest L579's on record. The hand cut checkering on this rifle is especially nice. It also comes with the 100/200 meter sight which are very hard to find especially this early version. The bluing on the early rifles is 2d to none. Im asking $2000 delivered(lower price) to your FFL in a hard case and fully insured. I hold a current class 03 FFL.
