Description:
**SOLD**Colt US Army Model 1917 .45ACP revolver, dated to 1919. This revolver features a parkerized steel frame, smooth walnut grips, and both single and double action firing, with a swing-out cylinder. The cylinder is designed to accept moon-clips for the .45ACP cartridge, and individual cartridges can be loaded, however the extractor will not extract individually loaded cartridges. The revolver is in great overall condition, especially considering it is 101 years old. Some signs of finish wear is present, very minor pitting in areas. The lanyard look appears to have been cut off, and the grips show some scraping and wear. The revolver times and locks up nicely, the bore and chamber surfaces are very nice, and the action is generally smooth. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase.
