Description:
Winchester pre 64 model 70 standard rifle built in 1949 in 257 Roberts caliber. This rifle is in outstanding all original condition. It retains 99% of the original blue and wood finish and has not been altered in any way. The bore is mint with sharp rifling and no visible wear. The checkering is sharp with no marks or bumps. The rifle retains the original steel buttplate. There is a period correct Bushnell Scope Chief 4X scope installed with Weaver bases and rings that appears to have been on the rifle since it was new. The rifle is in remarkable original condition for 72 years old. A classic model 70 in a very desireable caliber.C&E eligible.
