Description:
A very hard to find Savage model 99R "heavy rifle" in 250-3000 Savage. Built in 1955, this rifle has a 24" barrel with a mint bore. The rifle is in excellent all original condition retaining 98% of the original blue finish and 98% of the original wood finish. The wood is sound with no cracks or damage. The rifle has a Kohlmorgen 23/4 X scope installed with Stith mounts that allow the scope to be installed without drilling the receiver. This is a high condition 99 in a rare configuration. A great little deer rifle or a fun varming rifle. C&R eligible.
