All original 1901 Colt SAA .45 5.5 inch barrel great bore, tight action, screws are near perfect. Early smokeless pre verified proof stamp. Some case coloring present. Letter included! Colt SAA # 217387 was originally shipped as a .45 caliber, 5 ½” barrel, blue finish. The type of stocks/grips were not listed. It was part of a shipment of 8 guns of the same type to Simmons Hardware Company in St. Louis, Missouri on November 11, 1901.
