SOLD A working, worn and seen much use this 12ga double hammer percussion shotgun of the civil war era has 30" barrels, and the chokes, ledt tube measures about .710" and the right tube .730" . Theexterior metal is grey/brown with patches of pitting on the left isde of the left tube from being carried. Comes with an oak ram-tod with a brass tip. Both locks work well and I can;t read te name on the right lock-plate with scroll engraving, also on the hammers. No barrel markings, proofs, or writing on the barrel. The dark walnuy srocks are complete and show wear with hand checkering on the forend and pistol grips area now more smooth. Back of the right hand lock has a peice of wood missing from prying out the lock many times, and the left side has a thin age/stree line not open and has been there a long time. LOP is about 14 1/2" with a steel butt-plate. A well worn mid 19th century hammer double. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
