Colt 1872 Open Top .44 Rimfire Six Shot 7.5" Barrel
Serial #1385 numbers matching on frame, barrel, trigger guard and backstrap. Loading gate #332.
Army sized one piece grips with a brass trigger guard. The grips fit well with small chips on the toe of each side.
The patent date is visible. Barrel address is worn away.
This revolver has had it's barrel restored to it's original length of 7 1/2", it was shortened at some point.
Overall a nice tight colt. The mechanics function fine. The hammer holds back with a slightly light trigger pull, the cylinder rotates properly.
