Description:
This Colt Open Top Pocket Revolver left the Colt factory, on Sept. 29, 1877. The Colt History letter reports it is .22 Rimfire, blue finish with Varnished grips. It was shipped to J.P. Moores Sons, NY NY.
The serial number is 69937, is matching on the barrel and grips. The grips appear to have original finish, as do the barrel and cylinder.
The action works as new, and the bore is in bright excellent condition. The teeth on the back side of the cylinder show very little wear.
Somehow, this little Colt survived in near new condition for 144 years, remarkable! Close examination shows some slight browning on the barrel. It has a few dings in the brass and the screw holding the pivot wedge is a bit skived.
It is presented in a cherry wood case complemented with an 1877 dated Dime, (Value $27.50) a nice presentation touch.
Please keep in mind that this was made in an era of low pressure rimfire cartridges. Today’s smokeless rimfire may look like the old blackpowder, but they are much higher pressure and not safe to shoot.
This is an investment grade firearm and an outstanding addition to any Colt Collection. Serial number 69937. .22 Cal. with a 2 3/8” barrel.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made. Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded. All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
PAYMENT:
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 3% processing fee. For Visa and MasterCard orders please provide the account number, code number, expiration date, name on card, phone number and card billing address. This information can be phoned in, or E-Mailed. All orders must be paid in advance, C.O.D. orders are not accepted. Checks, both Bank and Personal must clear before the order will be shipped, usually a 2 week delay.
LAYAWAYS:
A 20% deposit is required. Balance is due in 60 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 60 days. Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX:
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
