Description:
This Parker GH Damascus 16 ga. shows fair condition, overall. The barrels, action, and fore end remain original, but this gun left the factory with an English stock, as evidenced by the presence of two lower tang screws. Factory-correct Parker's with pistol-grip stocks have only a single lower tang screw, located forward of the serial number. This replacement stock carries an attractive aftermarket red pad and an engraved escutcheon revealing past ownership by a very devoted husband and wife. Most of the screw heads show damage from the use of improper turnscrews. The Doll's Head rib extension underwent a repair and as a result, the action does not fall open smoothly; it pops open with a little extra effort. The barrels are just barely off the face (very slight rattle). Manufactured 1891. 16 Gauge

Bore Condition: Each bore shows a bit of light pitting. The left bore shows a couple of dings at about the midpoint.
Barrels: 28" Three-blade Parker Damascus Steel with concave rib and shell extractors. Stamped 3 lb. 7 oz. on the flats.
