Description:
Winchester Model 1887 lever action ten gauge shotgun. Serial #32081 mfc. 32" barrel shortened in period of use to 21" with brass sight added. On left side is an engraved "R A 0" also stamped "W.F. & CO NO 38." Cannot verify if the Wells Fargo stamp is of the period or a later addition however the 1891 year of manufacture was during the period of use and the shortened barrel was typical. This gun has seen much handling judging from the wear on the wood yet well cared for as the barrel is in good condition for the age which again would have been expected as a stagecoach gun. Winchester letter included.
