The Smith & Wesson Model 10-5 began its initial production in 1962, and fulfilled the expectations set by a series of Model 10's which preceded it. The Model 10, through its many variations, has set the standard for double-action/single-action revolvers for more than a century. This revolver fires .38 Special rounds, features a checkered walnut grip housing Smith & Wesson medallions, as well as a blued barrel and cylinder assembly. The Model 10-5 is rich in history, and has established its reputation through service for law enforcement agencies across the country. The Model 10-5 remains an excellent choice for a self-defense revolver to this day.
