This Marlin 444S -Sporter, produced from 1972-1983, is a big-bore lever-action rifle and has a unique ballistic design. Firing the .444 Marlin round, this gun allows for a lighter, faster and flatter trajectory that is sure to pack a punch. The barrel features Micro Groove technology for a better gas seal, resulting in increased pressure and a more accurate shot. This makes for a great hunting rifle in thick areas where vegetation, limbs or other brush could hinder the path of a less capable round.
