This C. Sharps Model Boss Gun "Old Reliable" is a single shot falling block rifle in .45-70 Gov't. Cal. It has a 34 inch No.1 heavy tapered octagon barrel. A hooded globe with post front sight and an adjustable deluxe long range tang rear sight. It has a double set trigger. The butt stock is a checkered grip walnut heavy Hartford straight grip with a cheek rest and accent line. The forearm is a checkered grip walnut Hartford with a cast German silver nose cap. Grade 1 hand engraving on lock plate and receiver. Left side has the initials EAE of the original owner. French grey metal finish on receiver group and buttplate. S/N 74-041. .45-70 Government
