Description:
SOLD A very good, strong 12 ga., with 32'' barrels with oxidized bores. The barrels are a soft brown patina showing remnants of damascus pattern beneath, the rib marked ''Real Twist''. There are a few spots of light oxidation or perhaps light pitting and there is no bead at front. The lockplates, ramrod tailpipe, long tang triggerguard, buttplate and barrel tang all show the very lightest open scroll and have been nickel plated, now showing some light oxidation. This must have been Grandpa's favorite weapon as he kept it in very good condition, and nickel plated the accent peices.The right side hammer shows remnants of some plate and a bit of light scroll, the left hammer is a replacement. The European walnut stock rates very good as lightly sanded and refinished years ago, the checkering now flat-top and the buttplate slightly proud around its periphery. There is a later ramrod included and the locks do not hold on half-cock, but they work properly at full cock. Thick barrels are rugged and the left tube has a ding about 6" down from the muzzle, but shouldn't effect the shooting of this fine gun. Left tube has a choke of IC and the right tube is CYL. The LOP is about 14 5/8" with a steel butt-plate. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
