Description:
A very clean older 1980 made Colt 1860 army with a serial #6719, and a .44 cal., 8'' plain barrel with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces of the barrel, backstrap and cylinder retain about 99% original blue with a few handling marks, the case-hardened colors of the frame and hammer remain vibrant with a few handling marks and the loading lever has toned to pewter with the ram retaining vibrant colors. The brass triggerguard strap has toned to an even dark ochre. The smooth one-piece factory Italian walnut grips rate excellent. The gun still functions mechanically with good timing and lock up, with clean clear nipples, appears to have not been fired. These fine guns were imported by Navy Arms that selected all thier firearms for fit and finish, from Uberti, and L.lPietta. An all steeel coor cased hardened frame like the original Colt.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
