*** SOLD *** Handsome A.H. Fox Sterlingworth 20 gauge with 28” barrels. Double triggers and extractors. Great bluing and loads of original case coloring. This great smallbore was consigned by the son of the man who originally purchased and cared for this nice little Fox. So, it has been in the same family since it left the factory. Weighs 6lb 2oz. *** The 28” extractor barrels have their original bluing and it is in great condition. They are topped by a raised crosshatched rib with a silver bead front sight. In 2008 the chambers were lengthened to 2-3/4” and the chokes opened by a Ferlach, Austria trained gunsmith. The right barrel is bored 0.623 with a constriction of 0.007 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is bored 0.619 and has a constriction of 0.015 for Modified choke. A perfect double for the upland gunner which is exactly what this lethal little bird gun was designed to be. *** At some point the buttstock was broken and replaced with a nicely figured piece of American walnut. The forearm is original and shows wear in the checkering. There is a small piece missing on the left side which is easily and inexpensively repairable. Stock dimensions are 14-5/8” over a 1-1/2” recoil pad by 1-5/8” by 2-5/8”. *** This fall step into the autumn woods with a legend in your hands.
