PRE-WAR WW2 WINCHESTER U.S. M1 OR M-1 GARAND .30-06 STRIPPED RIFLE RECEIVER WITHIN 1ST 11,000 MADE, CIRCA JUNE 1940. Serial number "110,8XX" with Winchester manufacturing beginning with approx "100,001" overall in Dec. 1939. Drawing number "D28291-2W.R.A." on leg. Only other markings beside address/serial# behind rear sight is "A" on underside of receiver all crisply struck, as is address. Pristine original parkerized condition with NO signs of pitting or corrosion and CRISP barrel threads. Very rare Pre-War Winchester Garand chassie ready to have a shooter or collector rifle built around it.
