"Nagoya Arsenal Type 38 Carbine 6.5 Jap. caliber rifle. Very rare folding stock Paratrooper Carbine. Very few made and even less survived. Estimated total production as 200 to 300 only! Referred to as ""Test Type 1"" developed in 1941 at the Toriimatsu Manufacturing plant of the Nagoya Army Arsenal. This carbine is listed by serial number 29XXX in the Banzai Special Project #8 publication The type 38 Arisaka. Gun has 90% original blue, matching bolt and unground crest. Gun has correct cleaning rod. In WWII Japanese long guns, this is the top rarity.
