Excellent, all original U.S. Civil War, Remington New Model Army 1858 revolver, .44 cap & ball. This revolver has moct of the original blue and case hardening, excellent bore and chambers. The minumal finish wear seems to be from long-term storage in a holster. All the numbered parts match and are original. All the factory markings/stamps are clear and legible. The grips have the correct GP stamp and are number matched to the gun. This gun is in remarkable condition with excellent mechanics, in perfect working order. A wporthy example for even the advanced collector.
