Description:
Here is an interesting and unusual revolver. It has a Webley Mark IV lower receiver, that is unit marked and has lots of proofs and inspection stampings from the African campaigns. The original serial number on the lower receiver was marked out. The upper receiver is a Mark VI that was converted by the brits to 45ACP. Each cylinder was proofed. I can only imagine that this was done during the desperate days of WW2. The revolver locks up nicely and does not have a lot of play in it. The action’s timing is good but it gets a bit stiff and probably needs a good cleaning. In any event, it has that birds head grip and it look great. It takes moon clips or 45 Auto Rim ammo.
