Description:
The item for sale is a Colt Single Action revolver. This is a 45 caliber 7 1/2" nickel Colt manufactured in 1883. Mechanically the revolver is excellent the bore is decent with minor roughness typical for black powder. The action is tight and strong with the classic Colt "4 clicks". The grips are replacements in excellent condition. They fit well and have a very minor chip on the bottom. They appear to be some type of synthetic ivory but possibly real ivory. The nickel loss appears to be the result of holster wear as the areas that did not have direct contact with the holster leather retain more nickel. This is a matching serial number Colt (frame, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder). Did not find a serial number on the barrel, however, it has been noted that some Colt Single Actions from the 1883 production do not have these numbers. This is an antique and does not require a copy of a FFL and can be shipped directly to the buyer. Please include $40 to cover the postage and insurance.
