Colt SAA single action shipped in 1889 in a one gun shipment.
.45 caliber with 4 3/4 barrel. The attached Colt letter verifies this configuration including grips.
Lots of finish on this gun. Tight action and all clicks.
After reading Cochran's Colt SAA book on this year gun, his book verifies that in transistion on caliber markings from the trigger strap to the barrel, some guns in this year range have a .45 stamped on the barrel under the ejector housing. He describes this as rare but this gun does have the correct caliber markings on the barrel under the ejector housing. Overall a very nice gun for an 1889 gun.
